Primal Movement Class Series is a weekly hour at Core Fitness Tutukaka that brings together Animal Flow ground-based movement, functional kettlebell training, and mobility and restoration practice — shaped by the intelligence of Qi Gong, elemental wisdom, and the ancestral movement traditions that predate the gym.
Each class moves through three layers.
Animal Flow develops strength, mobility, and control through natural movement patterns — crawling, travelling, flowing. It builds the kind of physical resilience that transfers to real life because it is drawn from real life.
Functional kettlebell training builds strength that carries. Not isolated muscle groups, but integrated, whole-body movement that makes you more capable in everything you do.
Mobility and restoration keeps the body open, supple, and capable of moving well for the long term. Not stretching as an afterthought — as a genuine practice.
Woven through all of it is an approach rooted in nature: Qi Gong principles, elemental awareness, and the understanding that the body is not a machine to be optimised but a living system that thrives when it is in relationship with its own intelligence and the natural world.
This is movement as medicine. Grounded, honest, and built for the whole person.
